About Sport Handbooks

There are 4-four Basic Leagues in the Bay Area Conference and each league has its own rules and regulations for competition.

When a league cannot offer a sport (having a minimum of 4 schools participating) then a Regional League is formed geographically. Example: the BCL West only has 2 schools that offer girls softball. The two schools in question would join the BCL Central (geographically closest league).

When a Regional league cannot support a minimum of 4 schools participating in a sport, then a Conference League is formed.  Example: BCL West and BCL Central cannot support a girls softball league, those schools would then join either the BCL East or BCL.

Special Note:  In case of participating in a Regional or Conference league, each school must adhere to the host school's league Sports Handbook rules and regulations.
